My counselling method
The foundation of my counselling approach is person-centred; This means I work to understand the world from your perspective, helping you to understand your feelings and responses to the issues you bring to the counselling room. Person-centred counselling enables you to realise your full potential, helping you to understand your sense of self.
My approach to counselling is pluralistic, this means our work is collaborative; We work together to understand your goals for therapy and decide how you would like to approach them. This is often traditional talking therapy however, some clients like to use written word to unpick their issues, some enjoy more creative methods. We review every six weeks or so to discuss what is working in therapy, and what isn't to ensure it is always tailored to your needs.
